Hey, and yours passed. It's good to be doing exactly that again here today.

Unbridled optimism for all the teams always this time of year as we get things

started. Even if you're a realist, even if you're pragmatic, your head fills

with baseball seasons of your, right? Times that you recall. I think about,

you know, when you have a passion for baseball and then you read about

baseball and then you watch documentaries on baseball and then you grow up

and go into games with your dad doing whatever that might be.

You think about all the characters of opening day and the characters of

Bayjulie baseball. I think of Buck O'Neill and the life that he lived and

certainly the way he played baseball. I think about power of like Mickey Manel

and the stories of Josh Gibson, the career of Atoni Gwynn, who I was, you know,

lucky enough to see all of his career as well. And Lou Gehrig and

a satchel page and all these different guys or these you weren't about or

that you were lucky enough to see. And baseball has that in a way that most

sports do not. And you can, you can kind of go tell the story of the game

throughout its opening day history. And who was what on those days?

Some interesting numbers I'll have for you later in the day on who the greatest

starters in Major League Baseball history on opening day and those who've had

the most fruitful careers. You got to guess on Tom Sever.

Well, now I was going to say that between that and the franchise.

The meds are notoriously good on opening day. Beyond that, not so much.
