More Americans are turning to part-time jobs.

The number of people working part-time rose by 1.2 million in December and January.

Most of the people who chose it, so they're not being forced into it.

And the quote they have here is 25 hours is the new 35.

Let me give you a few more of the numbers here.

So as I said, it rose by 1.2 million.

And most of that increase, 857,000 workers, part-time workers,

was driven by people who work part-time by choice not because they were unable to find full-time work or because their hours were cut.

The total number of people working part-time voluntarily,

22.1 million in January, is now almost six times the 4.1 million who were working part-time,

but who are working part-time but would prefer full-time hours.

That's the highest ratio in two decades.

And of course, looks very different from the first months of the pandemic when there was a huge crash.
