So I'm interesting to see if people get into the Sacramento Kings game tonight because

last couple of nights they haven't been able to and because protesters with the

controversial shooting in Sacramento that's gotten so much national attention now and

whenever these stories go national and you got people marching in the streets

and cities thousands of miles away isn't it all about we believe the police are

are more than willing to shoot people of color for no good reason isn't that what

they're saying more there are different ways to phrase it be more or less sure that's

a hell of a that's a hell of a thing to either believe or say indeed to discuss

that in the situation Sacramento and other issues chief Daniel Haneth Sacramento

police force joins us now is the 45th chief of police and well actually will

ask him a chief how are you sir I'm doing good how are you good how long have

you been in the job since August oh okay all right barely had a chance to settle

in let's let's begin with the obvious do you believe the shooting of Stefan Clark

was justified from what you've seen so far well I'm as a police chief I'm waiting for

all the facts to come in before we make a determination of that so that's the

proper thing to do as a police chief and that's 100% the proper answer to and is that

always the way you do it whether it's making the news or not that's correct that is

exactly how we always do it yeah actually I think it might be informative for the

folks to hear that what's the standard procedure if there's a police involved

shooting well as in any shooting whether police are involved or not there's a

lot of evidence to be collected a lot of interviews in this case a lot of

videos or the three videos we released anyway and so there's a lot of evidence
