decline. Good afternoon fellow investors and welcome back to Invest Talk. This is our

Monday, March 13th, 2023 edition, and there's certainly a lot happening in financial

markets, a big, interesting weekend, and sure, a lot of you have questions. This was a weekend.

I don't want to say for the record books, because I think it's a bit overblown that there

have certainly been much bigger calamities within the economy in the financial system

before IE08, and the Fed learned a lot. They reacted very similarly to what I was expecting.

We had client calls with a weekend, and that was really my sentiment. I said, this isn't

going to spread because the Fed isn't going to allow it to. They do what they always do,

which is backstop the whole system, and that's really what they are meant to do. I think

that's the biggest problem with the Fed, though, is that they've gotten farther away from

being the lender of last resort in situations like this, and more massaging the economy,

trying to smooth out all economic cycles. Unfortunately, that creates bigger problems. You're seeing

that here. It's not a bigger problem that they can't solve in this particular situation, but what

happens when they get to a point where they can't solve it. I'm talking about at a sovereign level.

That's something to worry about the most here. It's not the banking system. It's really about
