It's going fantastic. I can't wait to hear about all of your fears in this podcast, which is exactly what we're going to be talking about.

I mean, you know, you joke, but yeah, kind, kind of.

It's kind of the idea of a horror short story collection.

I think you're right.

I think you're absolutely right. And that is because this week on the show, we move on to our second book of season three.

This is our season covering all of Stephen King's greatest hits, aka one book from each decade.

But we also wanted to cover some different stuff.

And that's why this series is going to be a little bit different.

We are taking a look at King's 1978 short story collection titled Night Shift. This week on the show, we're

going to be reading and discussing five stories out of this collection. We'll be talking

about graveyard shift, night surf, I am the doorway, the mangler, and we'll finish

everything up with the boogeyman. And some of you, our eagle-eared listeners out there, might have noticed that I haven't mentioned

the first book in the collection, the one that the collection starts with, Jerusalem's Lot.

And that is on purpose, and it's because we've previously covered both Jerusalem's Lot

and one for the Road, the quasi sequel to Salem's Lot,

on a season two episode after we finished up our coverage of Salem's Lot.
