into verse seven we are right toward the tail end of Peter giving us a list of qualities that we are to add to our faith.

These are supplementary, they're complementary, they are things that add to the faith that we, and that's by no means an attempt to say that our

faith is deficient in some way. These are actually just different areas of focus that we should be putting our minds on as people

who have faith in Jesus Christ.

At verse number seven, Peter says, we are to add to the godliness that we are already focusing

on what he calls brotherly affection.

Now realize this could be difficult for some people to really conceive of

because perhaps your relationship with your earthly brother or earthly sister

which would apply as well is not the greatest. Maybe you had some

difficulties, you have some abuses, you have some harsh words that have been

exchanged. And it's hard for you to imagine what that sort of brotherly affection might be like.
