truth of God through a look at the scriptures. You see the scriptures help us set our

bearings for the day. Helps us get some truth into

our souls so that we can look at the world through the eyes of our God who has revealed

what the world is like through the scripture.

Welcome to the morning mindset.

We are looking at the book of 2nd Peter and we have begun into chapter 3.

Looking at what Peter is talking about

will happen in the last days when people begin

to question whether Jesus is really going to return or not.

And we looked at verses 1 through 7 yesterday

where Peter made the point that just as God created the world long ago, and we by faith must believe that because it is a fact and just

like he destroyed the world through the flood of we call it the flood of Noah oftentimes you can read about that in the book of

Genesis we were not there to see it but it is nevertheless a fact and my friends

there is archaeological evidence to demonstrate this fact, or geological evidence rather.

And he says in the same way, this is in verse 7, he says, but by the same word that declared

those things to happen. The heaven and earth that now exist are

stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the

ungodly. So he's saying in the same way God brought judgment back of judgment and

back then, through water in the case of the flood, he's going to bring it
