Summary

In a bit of an attachment to Lynn Wyatt, our main subject this week, we could not let this particular story fall to the wayside. Lynn had a pretty terrible first marriage early in life to a playboy heir, Robert Lipman. After their divorce, Robert took himself on quite an international tour of travel, and so many drugs. It was in 1967, in swinging Chelsea, that Robert took more than drugs - he took the life of a young girl too, Claudie Delbarre. The manhunt and trial certainly bring to light the power and privilege of the upper crust, and a decided lack of justice too. Not a whole lot of details in the world about Lynn Wyatt's first husband, Robert Lipman.

They were divorced in 1963. That's what I got. Oh, and also, he was convicted of killing a woman during a drug overdose and served time for manslaughter.

Y'all, I get so excited when I find out something that I didn't know and this is undercover.

I'm not saying I'm disappointed in our man, Nick, for not bringing this up because in 2006, a whole follow-up story connected to Lynn Wyatt about this true crime would have been his Ballywick. He doesn't talk about it. How are we to know this happened?

Thank you, John Glatt, for this particular piece from airmail, sex, drugs, and bloody murder.
