what's up ladies and gentlemen this is a really good episode this is a

guy named David stansfield who I met it's one of these episodes I really like

because it just sort of comes together when thing leads to another

conversation leads to this and another conversation leads to that and

next thing you know I'm sitting in someone's house who I didn't know existed

and they're opening up and telling me about their lives and wow what a life

what an interesting guy I met David you actually we talk about how how we

met each other through his son just a random conversation hanging out in a

in a club bar talking friend of a friend mentioned his dad and next thing

you know I'm hanging out in the kitchen talking to his dad David is an expert

on Arabic language Islam Arabic cultures I'm sure if he hears me say this he'll

cringe not considering himself to be an expert but as far as I'm concerned

he's an expert he's charmingly humble about his own gifts and experiences but as

you'll hear they're fascinating and substantial he's also worked as a producer

of documentaries with I think I think in BBC and PBS he talks about that and

he's also an author and I must say something of a liberty a man after my own

heart a man who's lived a life full of experience and surprise and

sensual and intellectual delights someone I find fascinating and admirable and I

think you will too I'm not gonna rant on and on about current events because

it every once in a while we need a break from that stuff I mean my god it just
