If you could use some hope, I pray you find it here today. When I first began writing a book about Jacob, the working title was Faith with a

limp. Thanks to the story in today's episode. It's the story of a strange but significant experience in Jacob's life.

It took me a while to make sense of this story, but over the years I've learned we all have moments

when we learn what Jacob learned that night by the river and I pray this message

is an encouragement to you.

We're working our way through the Old Testament story of Jacob, the Old Testament story of Jacob under the title, Faith with a limp.

And we're 2,000 years before the birth of Jesus, we have routed and followed our journey all the way up into

Mesopotamia, modern day Turkey, back down into Israel.

We're about 50 miles today from reuniting Jacob with his homeland of Canaan,
