Hey there, and welcome back to the Beginners Garden podcast. We are in the midst of seed starting

0:06.3

season. If you're starting seeds indoors, you probably are babysitting those things as closely as you

0:13.1

can. And the reason I know this is because I'm getting a lot of questions about this time,

0:20.0

specifically when it comes to troubleshooting

0:22.0

some issues that inevitably arise when we are starting our seeds indoors.

0:27.8

And so because so many of us are doing this, whether for the first time or not, I wanted to

0:33.6

address some of the common questions that I've been receiving because honestly every year

0:38.3

they're very similar questions which is a good thing it means if you're dealing with something

0:43.3

in indoor seed starting most likely somebody else has dealt with it too and most likely it is

0:49.7

overcomeable whether you overcome it this season or you figure out that you need to start over,

0:55.6

which unfortunately is sometimes the case. Whether you're starting seeds indoors right now,

1:02.3

or whether it's on your radar for future seasons, whether this fall or even next spring,

1:08.2

my hope is that this discussion today will make you a better indoor seed

1:12.2

starter, not only for this year, but for seasons to come. Welcome, I'm Jill and 10 years ago I started

1:21.2

my first garden as a new stay-at-home mom looking to cut grocery costs and grow my own food.

1:27.2

Over the years, with many failures and

1:29.1

successes, I stumbled my way into becoming a gardener. And six years ago, I started this podcast to

1:34.8

help others grow their own food as well. By tuning in each Tuesday, I hope that you leave inspired

1:40.3

and with practical tips and that gardening will change your life as it did mine.

1:50.1

I'll start out by sharing with you an email that I received or a comment. I can't remember

1:54.7

what it was, but it was from Catherine. I think so many of us can relate to how she put this and she

2:00.7

put it so succinctly. She said,

...
