We're down in Fort Lauderdale for Cruise 360. Yeah, it's a cruise conference coming up a little later on in the show. We'll have a review of Celebrity Solstice. But first, we always love running into our next guest, not because he's just a good guest, because he is so wise and knowledgeable and everybody loves him. He is the senior cruise director for Carnival Cruise Lines, Mr. John Hild. Hello, John.

I'm looking around i thought i was the guest i'm good it's nice of you i love the way we're doing to our interviews right outside the men's

toilets it's very interesting that we've done it on a couple of ships and here we are

randomly running into each other outside anyway yeah yeah yeah that's for another show uh so let's talk about a couple of things here john usually we talk about a certain event we're at but right now we're at cruise 360 which is a cruise conference here in fort lauderdale and i have a couple of questions just from listeners i wanted to just ask you real quick so the first one has carnival changing up their room service with adding the four fee menu prices. When I answer this, I need to emphasize,

probably one of the most important things is that the vast majority of the menu remains as was.

A complimentary 24 hours a day, sandwiches, breakfast, etc. But what we've done is we've sort of

gone to a new marquee area of the menu.

So there are four or five items with charges ranging from $2 to $6.

You can order hot food, everything from pizza from our pizzeria, which remains open 24 hours.

French fries, chicken wings. And it's a test trial on a couple of ships. We did it for the last first cruise on

the pride, last cruise. 13% of the orders were for the new items, and French fries were the most

popular, and French fries ordered between 11 and 1am. Munches, munches, munches, going very well.

Nice. Next topic here, Carnival Live. Carnival Live concert series, the summer and fall lineup was just announced. Lionel Richie, the band Perry. Who am I missing here? Hart. Ooh, dancing on the ceiling all night long. All right. How was the concert series doing? I mean, you launched Carnival Live earlier earlier last year and here we are a year later it seems to be doing really well yeah it's it's a

massive hit uh all the concerts are selling out uh people seem to go crazy for lionel richie

i mean when i announced wrote it on my facebook the amount of people who were saying we love him we love

him we love him have you ever danced to a lionel richitchie song? Come on. I never have, no. But I grew up and I go to country bars, so we don't really play that country, just more of the Garth Brooks and the Keith Urbans and all that. Yeah, driving over a cliff in your truck, finding out you've married your own sister. Yeah, that was a great car. That's why I love about country music. But Lady Antabella, Lady Anteba.
