the Fortnite PR page over on Reddit.

So let's go ahead and go through what they say here. Say hey all, Winter

Royal was operated through the tournament system and featured more than 9 million players

across North America and Europe competing during the two-day qualifiers.

We're really excited to run more events like this in the future, providing players with opportunities

to earn recognition by competing directly alongside the best of the best in Fortnite.

We've seen some questions as to why there aren't any tournaments scheduled currently and

wanted to drop in provide a quick update

on the schedule for end-game tournaments for the next couple months.

During January, we'll be transitioning to a new tournament back end system which will help

enable features such as live in-game leaderboards during events support for

tournaments to take place across multiple knockout rounds,

and allow us to create a richer variety of events to keep the experience fresh and exciting.

Fewer in game tournaments will be scheduled in early January

as we transition to the new backend system and test the new functionality. But we anticipate
