Thanks. Father, husband, surf historian. What can I say about Matt Warshaw? I actually don't know because there's no encyclopedia of surfing entry

for him. So I don't know where else to get my surf facts. He was a pro surfer ranked 43rd on the

IPS in 1982, childhood friends with Jay Adams. At the age of 12, Matt also became the very first owner of a surfboard

from Jeff Ho's iconic Zephyr Productions label. Matt's clean-cut image stood in stark contrast to

Jay Adams, Tony Alva, and the rest of the Z-boys. He began writing for Surfer Magazine in 1984 and became the editor in 1990, but then left abruptly
