This is a trap.

This is kind of like the equivalent of getting a new haircut for podcasters.

We're recording on brand new microphones.

Yes.

Much fancier, much nicer than the old ones that we have been using for six years.

So hopefully they sound nice.

And new cables.

Well, that was a different issue.

One new cable.

If anyone is bummed out that this episode did not come out in line with our usual release schedule. It's not actually

related to the new microphone thing. When hooking up the new microphones, the first time we were

like about to sit down and record this episode. When I started recording, I noticed a buzzing

sound that sounded like bees trapped in my microphone. And I was like, well, that can't be good. And after moving some things around, we deduced that it was the cable, which needed to be replaced and was surprisingly difficult to find. So now with new and improved, shark chomp-proof cables, because of the sharks that chomp through the fibrofoibrofoil in the ocean. Oh, I see, I see. A shark will never be able to chomp through our cables. Take that.

For other reasons.

Than the sort of logistical impracticality of the shark chomping through our cables.

I could blame all the technical difficulties on sharks. Sorry guys. Episodes late this week because of sharks.
