We have been reporting on this story for a number of years

and finally is becoming a reality in the United States.

The major U.S. Internet service providers have entered into a voluntary agreement

with the music and movie industries to police users who infringe on copyright.

What this means is you've got these service providers,

the AT&T's, Verizon's, Comcast, cable visions,

and Time Warner cables of the world.

In agreement with the Motion Picture Association of

America and the Recording Industry Association of America to monitor their

users for infringing activity. If they see some of their users downloading large amounts of material

that could be entertainment oriented that could be infringing on copyright

they will issue a warning shot to that user and say no no stop

this activity. By the fifth or sixth warning shot they could start slowing down

your internet service. They could call you into the office for a meeting with

big brother and say don't do this again. Now so far this initiative is being
