Well, I give seminars on podcasting, and one of the things I tell people is that good technique with okay equipment

is actually better than bad technique on superior equipment. Makes a lot of sense. What counts is good

technique for podcasting? Really, it's just if you're on your like lapel mic, it's, you don't have

long hair, but when we have guests who have long hair

if their hair is scraping up against the mic or they're wearing like a scarf or they're wearing

earrings that tends to produce a lot of unfortunate noise um and it's not noise that people even think

about because they usually use those you know headphones for just like phone calls or whatever

but it can be really unfortunate when podcasting.

So mainly it's just not letting your mic touch anything else and then trying to record in a

quiet room with a lot of soft stuff.

Well, I think I've got a lot of soft furnishings in my room, so I think that should probably

be okay.

Yeah, I mean, mean the soft you know soft

things just don't make echoes is really what it comes down to they don't make echoes yeah you don't

want echoing around no echoing yeah echoing because you don't want you want the mic to just pick up

what you say the one time you say it you don't want it to echo around the room and then get picked up

again by the mic.

Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm just joking. Oh, I see what you're doing now. A little wordplay. Sorry, I was thinking audio and you were coming at me with your fancy writer words.
