Welcome back to the Lincoln Project. I'm your host, Reed Galen. Today, I'm joined by author,

television writer and producer and former federal prosecutor, Jonathan Shapiro.

Jonathan has spent over two decades writing and producing some of television's most iconic shows, including The Blacklist, The Practice, Life, and Boston Legal.

If a career in television wasn't enough, Jonathan spent a decade as a federal prosecutor

and as an adjunct law professor at Loyola Law School and the University of Southern California's

Gould School with Law. He is a graduate of Harvard University, a Rhodes Scholar at

Oriel College, Oxford University, and received his law degree from the University of California

at Berkeley. Today he's coming to us from Los Angeles to discuss his newly released book, How to Be Abe Lincoln,

Seven Steps to Leading a Legendary Life, which is now available wherever fine books are sold.
