All right, here we go. Welcome in, everyone, to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast Friday, April 14th.

And you are, while I am, broadcasting from my 1973 airstream out in the state forest in northern Michigan and enjoying some unseasonably warm weather.

It was 82 degrees and sunny today with a nice breeze.

I have all the windows opened up in here and, man, I'm kind of living it up right now with this weather.

It's been really nice.

We're going to swing right back just like we kind of typically do here in true Northern Michigan fashion. I think Tuesday,

we've got a low of like 28, and they're calling for some snow. So short-lived, but it was a good

reminder to me to stay on the gas right now as far as scouting goes

because that window where the woods looks like it does right now where it's not full of vegetation

and you're not getting completely harassed and molested by mosquitoes.

Maybe that window's already closed for you guys south of here down in

Indiana Ohio Missouri all that I know you guys get started a little bit earlier than

what we do but what we have here right now is exactly what the woods is going to

look like basically come early November when all the foliage comes down so that gap gap is going to be open right here, right now, for maybe another three weeks.

So I prioritized my guest this week to talk about some spring scouting and what you can be doing right now to maximize your time.
