| 0:55.8 | and insurance companies can tell you about those things as well. So just being in a particular |
| 1:02.0 | age cohort affects your disposition, your reaction to things, your outlook, and so on. |
| 1:10.0 | But generations also have personalities, which means that a 20 year old in a, in my age |
| 1:18.3 | cohort, I'm a boomer, 20 year olds are, well in 1973 when I was 20, all my 20 year old peers had certain things |
| 1:29.7 | in common with all 20 year olds of every era. |
| 1:33.0 | And yet, in 23, we've got a new crop of 20 year olds |
| 1:41.0 | who share certain things in common with the 20 year olds of my generation, but they also |
| 1:46.2 | have a distinctive personality. |
| 1:48.6 | And this is what we're getting at when we talk about the differences between Boomers and millennials or the silent generation |
| 1:57.2 | the silent generation would be those who were little kids during the Second World War. |
| 2:03.0 | And then boomers are those born after the war. |
| 2:06.0 | And so when we're talking about Gen X or the millennials or different age cohorts, |
| 2:12.0 | the millennials have certain things in common with people of that age |
| 2:19.6 | throughout all history, but they also have certain things in common with one another that are not the case. |
