0:20.3	Well, welcome back to the Daily Blade. I'm Dr. Mark Hitchcock. I'm the pastor of Faith Bible Church in Edmund, Oklahoma. I've been filling in this week for Joby and for Kyle, and I just want to thank them so much for giving me the opportunity to do this. It's been great to be with you, and I've been blessed by being with you, and I hope it's been an encouragement to you as well.
0:39.2	You know, one of the things you've probably heard about in your life before is being spirit-filled,
0:43.2	you know, being a spirit-filled Christian. We read about that often in Scripture, but there's really
0:47.8	just one main place in the Bible that really defines and kind of describes the spirit-filled
0:53.5	life for us, And there's nothing more
0:55.4	important in your life and mind as a believer than to be a spirit-filled, to be a spirit-filled Christian.
1:00.5	The main verse really in the New Testament about this is Ephesians 518, where the apostle Paul says,
1:05.9	don't be drunk with wine, wherein is excess or dissipation, but be filled with the Holy Spirit.
1:13.3	Now, what does it mean to be filled with the Spirit? Well, you notice there's a contrast.
1:17.3	Don't get drunk with wine, but be filled with the Spirit. So he's contrasting being controlled
1:23.5	by alcohol, by taking in too much alcohol, with being controlled by the Spirit. So being filled
1:30.3	with the Spirit means to be controlled by the Spirit. When someone drinks too much alcohol, they do
1:35.5	things that are bad that they wouldn't otherwise do. When someone is filled with the Spirit,
1:40.4	they do good and godly things. They wouldn't otherwise do. There's an empowerment that overtakes
1:46.3	their life. So that's what it means to be filled with the spirit. It means for the spirit to take
1:51.8	control of our lives. So that's the contrast that's there. But then you find the command be filled with
1:58.7	the spirit. Now a couple of things about this. In Greek, it's an imperative,
