Summary
Sam interviews Mazi Sadri & Dedy Tein, co-founders of the Peduli Learning Center in Bali, Indonesia. They discuss how they were able to secure land and build a supplemental school from the ground up at a surprisingly affordable cost. Mazi & Dedy break down costs to build, sustain and how they plan to expand into the future with this noble cause. Johnny joins Sam in the outro to discuss Peduli and other charitable efforts plus we draw winners for our March book giveaway!
About Mazi Sadri:
Spanning a career in Consumer & Enterprise Technology Product Management for 20+ years, Mazi has worked with many startups to large scale organizations leading product development, fundraising & startup architecture.
After seeing an opportunity in bringing the same skills in Education he partnered with Dedy to bring the vision of an educational program bringing similar opportunities to the community he now calls home.
About Dedy Tien:
Growing up in a remote area in Indonesia, unable to read or write, he was taught English by caring strangers. This skill opened up opportunities for him to live and work in Australia. Eventually, he wrote multiple books, started a real estate business, and dedicated his life to giving back through Peduli.
