I would say no.

The church is saints gathered from all nations, from all tribes, and all tongues.

But what the church isn't is a host of people who have found identity in sinful things that they are refusing to turn from.

That's not the church.

So even the placement of something like the font or the centrality of the altar in the sanctuary,

or indeed having a crucifix tells us something about what this congregation believes and where their commitments lay.
