Board of Supervisors, voted 10 to one to formally condemn the renaming of a hospital after Mark Zuckerberg

and his wife, Priscilla Chan, notwithstanding the fact that they'd given the hospital $75 million.

Capital will go where it is welcomed, it's been said, and it will stay where it is well treated.

So it should come as no surprise that Mayor Suarez's approach,

he has literally said that he wants to make entrepreneurs feel welcome,

is paying off for Miami.

But Miami's tech moment is about so much more than Francis Suarez.

The tech talent flocking to Miami are praising the city's diversity and its open-mindedness.

People are saying there's something special and optimism, a sense of possibility that is lacking elsewhere.

Of course, tech hubs are built on a lot more than viral tweets and a friendly vibe.
