Summary
This episode may not be a financial investment for your wealth, but one for your health - which is arguably even more important! After Sam tried stem cell therapy for the first time on his knee, we decided to have an expert on the show to talk about this exciting alternative to traditional healthcare. Ryan Alling is the Co-Founder of Luxury Stem Cells, which specializes in catering to American patients and provided various stem cell treatments at their clinic just over the border in Tijuana, Mexico. Ryan and Sam talk about the many benefits of stem cells and struggles to bring them to the mainstream in the United States. Then, Johnny jumps in with Sam to talk about their personal experiences with stem cells and whether they'd want to try them in the future.

| 0:19.7 | Hey bosses and welcome to the Invest Like a Boss podcast. I'm Johnny FD and I'm here with Sam Superhuman Marks. How you doing, buddy? Yo, Johnny, it's great. And I just noticed, you know, we're not doing video right now, but damn, that's a great profile pick of you. I don't know if I've ever noticed that one before. Yeah, that was from the Nomad Summit like 2018. Unfortunately, that was kind of the peak of my fitness. That was a tailored shirt |
| 0:44.6 | that got made in Chiang Mai. Yeah, it's a, those these are kind of gone. You look like you're the |
| 0:49.9 | recipient of like 40 million fresh stem cells. What we were talking about? And actually back then, I didn't need it because I was in such good shape. I was, you know, five years younger and I was kind of on the peak of my fitness. But now I, man, I'm sitting here and I have a little pillow, um, lumbar support pillow, because I feel like I'm getting old I feel like my body is breaking oh how old |
| 1:12.8 | were you in this photo you know it's probably like 36 or something and now I'm now I'm 42 and I feel every |
| 1:17.4 | year like every year since I turned 40 man my body is aching bro these are the years man I noticed it like |
| 1:24.9 | because I'm 38 now and I I realized, like, 36 was probably my |
| 1:29.2 | peak, my, like, physical peak. I was training every day. I was in great shape. I was, like, |
| 1:33.6 | relaxed when I was training, very flexible. And every year now I'm getting injuries. And I don't |
| 1:39.8 | have the motivation anymore to go. I'm like, I'm not going to go do a two-hour boy Thai class anymore. Those days are, well, those days are beyond. Now we know not only how difficult it is to do that two hours, but now it takes us 10 times long to recover. So instead of, you know, feeling good, like, you know, that same night going off for drinks and then doing the class all over again the next day, I know for me, it'll take like a week to be covered from that class and it's just not worth it. Yeah. And I think it was like cooler back then just to have a lot of muscle. But for now, I'm more interested in flexibility and just like being kind of skinny. And I'm like, well, I can achieve all that by just doing like 30 minutes of stretching a day and eating better. I don't need to go do all like the weight lifting craft and stuff. You know, as we get older, especially I think when we turn 35 or 40, we're losing 1% of our body muscle mass every year. And it's really dangerous as we get older. So I would throw in at least some pushups or pull-ups along with that. All right. Isn't it about the same for your brain? |
| 2:35.8 | Don't you start losing like some of your brain or something? |
| 2:42.1 | Oh, well. |
| 2:42.9 | Well, at least we're going to be talking about a resumative emerging and alternative |
| 2:48.1 | solution to that today. |
| 2:50.0 | And I have to say, Johnny, frankly, there is no |
| 2:53.0 | topic I'm more interested in talking to. I don't know if we're going to necessarily have an |
| 2:57.5 | investment opportunity. You might have some ideas, but I'm thinking about this just generally |
| 3:02.1 | in terms of health and wellness going into the new year as possible solutions for some of the remedies, if nothing |
| 3:09.9 | else, anti-aging, but certainly some of the injuries or even illnesses that some of our listeners |
| 3:14.9 | or loved ones may have. I actually think of this as the only real reason to be wealthy, to be able |
| 3:21.4 | to fix yourself if you're broken, because these are things that you can't really, you know, go to under your insurance plan. |
| 3:29.7 | You have to, you know, at least for now, you have to just have cash and you have to have quite a bit of it to be able to just say, you know what? |
