Katie Floyd I'm well David how are you I'm great and there's been a lot of news lately about this iPad thing you know so I

thought maybe it's time for us to do a show where we take a little bit of time and

talk about where the iPad fits now I I know there's been a lot of shows lately about the

iPad pro and I have one I've been using it a week I definitely have thoughts and

want to talk about it during today's show but I don't want this to just be an iPad

pro show I thought wouldn't it be nice after five years of but I don't want this to just be an iPad Pro show.

I thought, wouldn't it be nice after five years if we kind of talked about what we're

doing with the iPad, where we think it fits, and what the options are for people out there?

Well, and we both got new iPads.

You got the big one, I got the small one.

And so we've done a little bit of shifting with our iPads recently.

So I think it's a good time just to kind of catch up and and see how things go.

Yeah let's do that.

Before we get started though, I want to spend a minute just talking about the Ipad in general.

I don't think it's a well-known fact, but it is true that Apple had

started working on a tablet device before they had started working on the iPhone and

they were, you know, the developments they were putting into the

tablet were part of the reason why they said hey you know what we could do a great

phone so the the Apple tablet that was being developed at one point got shelved while they were getting the phone

launch and then later they came in with the iPad.

I think Steve Jobs let that slip at one of the all things D conferences and one of his interviews
