0:19.0	Welcome back to the Daily Blade. I'm Dr. Mark Hitchcock. I'm the pastor of Faith Bible Church in Edmund, Oklahoma.
0:25.6	And I'm filling in this week for Kyle and Jobie.
0:29.6	One of my favorite verses in the Bible, ever since I heard it years ago as a young boy,
0:34.6	is Second Chronicles, chapter 16, verse 9. This is a verse I'm sure many of you
0:39.7	probably heard or maybe memorized. It says, for the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout
0:44.3	the earth that he may strongly support those whose heart is completely his. God's eyes
0:50.7	row to and fro throughout the earth, but he can strongly support those whose heart is completely his.
0:57.9	Now, this verse comes in a context of a king of Judah named Asa, King Asa.
1:03.7	Second Chronicles, chapters 14 to 16.
1:06.5	I encourage you to read those chapters this week.
1:08.6	They record the 41-year reign of Asa of the King of Judah.
1:13.7	And Asa's story revolves around two crises, two great crises, kind of one at the beginning of his reign and one near the end.
1:21.0	In the first instance, Asa relied on the Lord for strength, and he enjoyed great success and blessing and victory.
1:29.4	So he relied on God and trusted in God, and God gave him success and victory.
1:34.1	But the second crisis, near the end of his life, he relied on the King of Syria for help,
1:39.0	and he experienced failure and frustration.
1:42.8	These two crises have often been called ACE's faith and ACE's
1:47.4	folly. But this passage here tells us that near the end of his life, God makes this tremendous promise
