I'm Lorian McKenna.

Our guest today is Aaron Tracy,

and we're talking about his career as a storyteller

and most recently in audio fiction.

Aaron is a television writer, producer, novelist,

audio fiction writer,

and is on the faculty at Yale,

where he teaches creative writing.

And he was recommended to us by one of our brilliant interns, Bronwyn.

Over his career, Aaron has developed original television series for CBS, USA, Freeform, Lifetime, NBC Universal,

Lionsgate TV, and others.

His series sequestered, a legal thriller, ran for two seasons on Sony's

Crackle. He co-created The Tap for USA, a dark historical drama that he made alongside one of his

heroes, the late great Rob Reiner. Aaron is the founder of the award-winning audio company Parallax,

whose mission is to consistently deliver immersive audio experiences that captivate

and challenge listeners. The first audio series he created, The Coldest Case, starring Aaron Paul,

became Audible's most successful original show in 2021. His iHeart radio series, Supreme,

The Battle for Roe, co-produced by Eva Longoria, starring Maya Hawk and William Macee, about the 26-year-old lead attorney on Roe v. Wade won the Best Fiction Webby Award in 2024.

Other audio fiction he has created, written and directed include 10 Days, an underdog NBA story starring Glenn Powell, The Commuter, a domestic thriller starring Lizzie Kaplan,

and Murder in Bermuda, a courtroom drama starring Mary Louise Parker. Aaron's first novel,
