How mad is it that we the United Kingdom have never cut a trade deal with the United States despite 60 years of trying under the EU?

That's completely mad. Yet we don't have a trade deal with our

single biggest country trading partner, the US, the fifth of our trade, because we're in the EU.

Acting alone, we can cut that trade deal deal and that doesn't mean that we have to

accept the worst excesses of the US economy at all. We can cut that deal in our own

right. We're a big powerful player.
