0:22.8	in the United States. My family is from Iran. All of my life I have had a passion
0:28.8	for justice and I have also had a really strong sense of not knowing where I
0:35.7	fit because I was raised in the US. I am Persian but I don't speak far
0:40.8	see fluently. I don't you know my connection to my country is strong but not as
0:46.8	strong as many Iranian-Americans and so I've always felt this like living
0:52.6	the middle. Ever since the uprising began in Iran in September after the death
0:57.5	of Masa Amini I have felt compelled to do whatever I could. Whatever I can. You
1:04.2	know I started with posting things on social media. I've slowly gotten
1:08.1	involved with the community here who is organizing rallies. I've made phone
1:13.5	calls and it still doesn't feel like enough and this has been something that I
1:17.4	have wrestled with for a really long time that I sit with all this privilege
1:22.1	being someone from the United States and that I have a lot of had a lot of
1:27.4	guilt around that about how I should be doing more to help the world help my
1:31.0	community all of those things and now my guilt has transferred to this strong
1:37.4	sense of responsibility but I still don't feel like it's enough and I feel like
1:41.8	I want to understand based on my chart like what my skills are what my purpose
1:49.0	is how I can best use who I am to really make an impact and to really be okay
1:58.0	with the privilege versus the guilt I guess because I mean I say I'm not I don't
