So I did a podcast episode. You guys may have heard it a few months ago. It was called Think You're Too Old to Get Sober. And it was one of my lovely clients who was 76

when she started working with me and she's 77 now. And she's just, you know, living her best life.

Her health has improved, all that kind of stuff. And I think one of the things that people say to themselves is like, I'm too old, it's too late. And then Deb reached out to me and was like, hey, do you want to do one on think you're too young to get sober? And I was like, yeah, let's do it. So, okay, how long have you been sober before, Deb?

I was two years in September. Wow, because it was two years ago that you worked with me.

Gosh. Yeah, quite like that. And I think that was part of why I felt inspired. So I just thought it felt like such a milestone for me. So, yeah. Gosh, it's gone fast. Okay. Let's start with. First, how old are you now?

31. 31. So you were 29. So yeah, I was 27, very close to that. Tell me a little bit about your drinking.

So I describe myself as one of those drinkers who could take or leave it generally. So I was never someone that would come home and have a glass of wine after work. I was never someone that drank every day, but when I did drink, I drank for a

purpose. And for me, alcohol was always a tool. And I can kind of see that more now as I look back.

It was always around either craving connection or wanting to make an experience feel

more special or just trying to switch off from my own head, I guess. So I think when I discovered

alcohol kind of in my teens, I just thought it was really exciting. It was kind of this ability to go

out, have a great time with my friends.

And there was never any really consequences to it.

And it very quickly became part of my identity.
