Welcome to the Daily Blade. The Word of God is described as the sword of the spirit, the primary

0:07.2

spiritual weapon in the Christian's armor against the forces of evil. Your hosts are Joby Martin

0:12.8

and Kyle Thompson, and they stand ready to equip men for the fight. Let's sharpen up.

0:20.3

All right, guys, let's wrap up the week. All week we've been pulling the featured scripture

0:24.1

from the 31-day resilience reset, so it's a free resource I created for men who know that they

0:29.1

were made for more but feel stuck where they are. You don't end up somewhere meaningful

0:32.9

by chance. You get their own purpose. We all know that. If you're ready to sharpen your

0:36.5

life, start by going to undaunted.com slash 31 days. Today, I want us to focus on God as our refuge

0:43.7

and fortress and how that would adjust the path we go down. So let's go ahead and get into the reading

verse 24, and I'll read from the CSB. Even a courageous person's steps are determined by the

1:02.0

Lord. So how can anyone understand his own way? So I know that a lot of guys in this audience are

1:08.0

highly conscientious people. Okay, you get crap done. It's done well.

1:11.5

No one has to remind you to speak up. No one has to encourage you to get going or to come to the

1:16.1

defense of someone else. Many of you guys do have that and you also have courage. And man,

1:22.5

courage is a good thing. It's something that actually is lacking quite a bit in modernity.

1:27.2

There are a lot of reasons

1:28.1

for that that we don't have time to get into today. But the point I'm making goes back to

1:32.2

Proverbs 24. Even a courageous person's steps are determined by the Lord. So even if you're a man

1:41.1

with a plan, it's the Lord who is sovereign and ultimately in control.

1:45.3

And if he's in control, then your path will surely shift away from the path that you would have

1:50.1

created for yourself. And his path will take you closer to him where he can be your refuge and fortress.
