thanks for joining us just a few weeks ago I got back from the ACCS conference in Pittsburgh.

It was the second time we've been in Pittsburgh.

And I thought I should express my, it was just a wonderful conference approaching

1300 classical Christian educators from all over and it was just a wonderful

conference great great talks it was just a wonderful conference, great talks, it was just marvelous.

And I thought I would express my gratitude for the work of ACCS by talking a little bit about the origins of the whole thing.

Some people, many of you are probably aware of the beginnings of Logos School

or the beginnings of the movement, but I want to talk a little bit about

ACCS itself. So when we started Logos School, began working on it in the late 70s. One day Nancy said to me when our oldest

daughter was a toddler, Doug, I can't see handing her over to someone we don't

know and saying here she is educator.

And at the time I knew virtually nothing about Christian education or classical education.

But the one thing I did know is that I agreed with that.

I agreed with what Nancy had just said.

And so I said, somewhat rashly, I said.

Well, don't worry, honey.

We'll have a Christian school started by the time Becca hits kindergarten, which meant that the clock was running.
