I had the opportunity to attend John Schaub's "Building Wealth One House At a Time" seminar in Sarasota, FL on January 16 & 17, 2016.

I've been a fan of Schaub's work for quite a while. After reading his books and many others, I decided that his approach and plan is the approach to real estate that's right for me. So I went to the seminar.

I was extremely impressed with the seminar. It was exactly what I hoped it would be.

In the show today I share with you:

the fundamentals of John's approach to real estate investing,
the outline of the seminar and topics covered,
what I loved about the seminar, and
a few suggestions for improvement.

0:47.0	Loved the seminar. Love John's plan. It's a plan I'm pursuing as I talked about on a recent show. So I'm going to share with you some of those reasons why but I'm also going to tell you
0:58.4	Why would a guy sell his house and talk about why there are myths of home ownership and then turn around and want to get right back into real estate investing.
1:05.0	When you think about it, that'll probably be some of the more interesting part of the show.

1:21.1	Houses are personal consumption items. They are not investments and everything that I said about real estate was related to houses as a personal consumption item and basically all of all of the flaws with that I talked about were flaws of the well many of them were the flaws of
1:37.9	viewing a house as an investment as a wise financial move the end of the day when it comes to a place to live, if you view a house as a consumption
1:48.1	item, as a luxury lifestyle decision, nothing wrong with that. We all need a place to live and I think for many people, a major goal that many people have is to live in a luxurious house.
1:59.0	Now, how you define luxury is up to you, but that really is the case but but when we talk
2:05.2	about investing that they're night and day so I'll cover that more in a little bit
2:09.2	though but last weekend I went to John Shabs Building Wealth One House at a Time seminar.
2:16.0	This comes, it's a seminar that's related to a book that he's written called Building Wealth,
2:21.0	One House at a time.
2:22.0	Book has been out, it's been updated a few times.
2:23.7	He's coming out with a new version of the book, I believe, this summer.
2:27.1	And so when he releases that, I'll have him back on the show
