Okay, folks, welcome to the first chapter, the first report, the first exciting episode of

Miss Jones, first thing I have to say to you is Happy New Year,

but I do have this strict rule that if anybody says Happy New Year to me after midday on New Year's Day,

When I worked on the Chester Chronicle, that was my first job in newspapers, as a young reporter on the weekly newspaper of my hometown.

I've always had a thing that the first time I communicate with somebody in the new year even if

it's halfway through January I'll say happy new year to them So I'm completely the opposite from you. Or you get an email from somebody,

you know, it might be nearly February, but it's the first time you've spoken. I'll still say it back.

Yeah. But yeah, horses for courses. No, absolutely. I just think, right, a new year is a new opportunity. Let's get on with things. Let's do all the things that, you know, you're going to do last year. But now, I haven't got time to go around wishing people happy new year. Let's just get on with it. Talking of which I've already revealed to yourself and a few other people actually on a couple of shows I've done in the last couple of days. But my New Year's ambition,
