Today's episode is with Scott Carney, who you may remember from a few weeks back he was talking

about the meditation cults that kill. He's really into cults and things as a journalist and he's also taking part in a lot of meditation he kinds of things and he's into all that sort of world that is is very distant from me but has given a lot of people a lot of

happiness and hope and helped them. I'm talking about breath work and breathing and

meditation and all that stuff but he is also also, you know, he is the person

apparently who broke the story about Wim Hof,

like in the first place.

Wim Hof is a very famous breath work and ice man who is known for being underwater, freezing water for, you know,

ridiculous amounts of time, setting all kinds of ridiculous records,

injecting himself with E. coli and curing himself just with his mind, although that was a little bit exaggerated.

But he can do pretty amazing things, but Scott, despite being a huge proponent of the

Wim Hof method, and if you don of the Wim Hof method.

And if you don't know Wim Hof is, go look him up.

He's bonkers, this big ice man guy,

and hugely popular and a fascinating, clearly impressive person. And I say bonkers in a nice way and we have

this discussion now Scott and I about the dangers of the Wim Hof method because a lot of people have gotten in touch

with Scott who feels a little bit guilty about pushing women to the world.

A lot of people got in touch to say that their family members, their friends have died through drowning because people are trying to do this

breathing method which is separate to the ice stuff but they're doing it underwater or in the ice or under the ice
