podcast. Today's special guest is Dr. Laura Anderson. She is a psychotherapist and an expert on

the subject of religious trauma. She wrote the incredible book, When Religion Harts You. And today,

we're talking about the intersection between religious trauma and political

discourse. This is something that I don't step my toe into very often. The conversation around

politics is one that I tried to avoid in public settings. But enough people have been talking about

this issue that I thought it would be a good time to have Dr. Laura Anderson on to discuss how

political discourse, specifically in this case in the United States, affects people who've been

traumatized within fundamentalist religious communities. It's a really fascinating conversation.
