I'm your host Heather Ashley and today's case is out of St Paul Minnesota.

Small talk sucks so let's dive in. Heidi Ericsson was the kind of person who just brought joy everywhere she went.

She was fun, goofy, and really artistic.

She loves spending time outdoors, watching romantic comedies, and was known for her thoughtful crafts,

positivity that was impossible to ignore. As a freshman in high school, Heidi met Nick Firkus, who was a junior at the youth group and the church

They quickly became good friends, bonding over things like Bible studies and sports.

According to court documents, after Heidi graduated from Roseville Area High School in 2003,

she and Nick took their friendship to the next level and finally started dating.

With their adult lives just starting, Heidi took a job in administration at

Securian while Nick worked for his parents business doing things like

together located on the 1700 block of Minnehaha Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota.
