Welcome to the happiness podcast. I'm Dr. Robert Puff. There are many obstacles in life that can keep us from finding peace and

0:16.2

happiness. But perhaps one of the hardest challenges to overcome is letting go of our anger.

0:24.7

Other people do things to us that make us upset, that hurt our feelings, that cause us

0:30.3

to suffer, and it can feel so unjust that we just want retribution. We want them to

0:37.2

suffer as we have suffered. But that anger that we hang on to can eat us alive and it truly is one of the biggest obstacles

1:50.7

And since we're hanging on to it, it isn't that people around us are affected by it.

1:55.9

We are, because we're the ones hanging on to this anger and letting that negative energy build

2:02.4

up inside of us.

2:04.0

And until we release it, it's just going to keep eating away at us.

2:09.0

I mean, if we've lived long enough, we've all known very angry people and they're just not going to be happy people.

2:18.1

They're not, there's no way.

2:20.1

Their lives are miserable and their lives are just permeated with that hate.

2:25.2

And when we're with them, we can walk away from that hate, but they can't.
