This is a podcast I recorded in summer of last year with Jake Johanson,

a fantastic American comic,

someone who's performed in the comedy industry for over three decades and has had 45 appearances on Letterman, probably more.

I was 45 when we spoke, I think, or maybe even 46, I'm not sure but nonetheless he knows his

onions in a way that few people know their onions we're going to talk about some of

the decisions he's made in his career and the effect they've had he's going to talk about why

planning as a comedian is effectively pointless and we're going to get really stuck into some

very interesting ideas about writing and his craft and his technique and all of that stuff as well.
