This week, we check out a guy who always had all the potential, but the only potential that he fulfilled was his prolific arrest record. A sought after, two sports star, he was the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, but it all went away. Next thing you knew, he was in an off brand football league, and choking women, while punching them. His problems seem to be with alcohol, drugs, and even fear of success. Either way, he made a real mess of it all, and the only question is, will he EVER get it together??
Have to choose between pro baseball, and pro football, become the starting quarterback for an iconic franchise, then get arrested, at an alarming rate with Quincy Carter!!
Check us out, every Tuesday!
!We will continue to bring you the biggest idiots in sports history!!

0:00.0 | Hey, Prime members, you can listen to Crime and Sports early and add free on Amazon music. Download the app today. |
0:06.0 | Hello and welcome to Crime and Sports. Yay! Oh, yay indeed, Jimmy. Yay indeed. My name is James Petrogal. |
0:35.0 | I'm here with my co-host. I am Jimmy Wiseman. Thank you folks so much for joining us today. Just an immense amount for joining us. We're very excited as per usual. We're never not excited to do this show, but again, it's fun today. Especially there's certain, certain teams that are fun. You'll see what we're talking about, but we'll get into all of that. It's one of these episodes, too, where for some reason I just missed all of this guy's crime. While it was happening, I zoned out on it, I guess. I don't know. Until I got to the point, I was like, |
1:05.0 | I took a few weeks ago and I was like, wow, that's quite an impressive resume here. He's going to join the club, I think. Before we do that, I just want to thank everybody, first of all, for your reviews. They do help a lot. We don't know why. It's not for our ego. It's just for some reason. It helps drive you up ranking. |
1:22.0 | So if you have not yet, please give us as many stars as you can, and whatever app you're listening to, it's a good way to put it. There you go. Head over to shut up and give me murder.com right now for your tickets to live shows this weekend. We are in Brooklyn and we are in Boston as well. Boston first, then Brooklyn, the Wilbur all sold out at the Wilbur. We're very excited about that. We can't wait to see. It's a big three tiered old theater. So that's going to be fun to see everybody in that. |
1:49.0 | And then of course, Brooklyn, that quickly, if you have tickets to this Brooklyn show, they've sent emails and we've notified you, but still the location is different than the original location. That's not on purpose. It's not our fault. The place closed. So we really we couldn't force them to stay open just for our show. So we had to move it to an equal size joint there. So we're in a different location. Make sure you look it up. Look at the website. It's on there. Shut up and give me murder.com. Get your tickets for everything Seattle. There's still some tickets left for those shows. |
2:18.0 | Thursday and Friday night. I think Portland sold out though, but get your tickets now and do that right this minute. Jesus Christ get it going for God's sake. Patreon.com slash crime and sports. |
2:30.0 | My goodness. So much fun here. We had this week with these episodes that will be posting and anybody five dollars or above you get access to both shows, small town murder and crime and sports. Patreon. Everything we put out bonus wise. You're going to get it and you'll get a shout out. |
2:45.0 | Jimmy, I'll mispronounce your name at the end of the show. It's really wonderful. This week's episodes pretty damn hilarious. First of all, for crime and sports, we talk about sports superstitions and weird things that guys have done for more than a century. |
2:59.0 | We found out this weird strange. There's an elephant skin involved. It's a very weird episode. It's a few guys are strange. We'll put it that way. People are peeing on themselves. |
3:10.0 | And then for luck and longevity. And then for small town murders episode, we did something really crazy. We talked about the nexium cult, which is just disgusting and sticky. |
3:25.0 | It is. And he turned he went from Lula Roe to Jones town is what he did. He took it from he was a multi level marketing guy who then said, that's not enough. I think I need a full on a full on cult with sex slaves. Let's do that. |
3:40.0 | In rapid succession. And he just does it. So we'll talk all about that. We did talk all about that. It was a lot of fun. Those are going up this weekend. Of course, Patreon.com slash crime and sports is where you get all of that. |
3:51.0 | And if you just want to shout out and to be a wonderful person with great karma, you can do that as well over a PayPal using our email address. |
3:58.0 | Crime and sports at gmail.com. There it is. There it is. That said, let's get into this right away. Gotta just do it. Here we go with Lavanya quintelle Carter. |
4:11.0 | You know who that is? It's not Lavanya. It's Quincy Carter. The Quincy Carter, the old quarterbacks, the old Cowboys quarterback. Absolutely. |
4:21.0 | Absolutely. His real name is Lavanya quintelle. And he got Quincy from that. |
4:27.0 | Lavanya. Lavanya. And from what I can tell, he's a junior from what I can tell his dad's name is also Lavanya. So why would you give your kid the Lavanya, but then change the middle name. |
4:39.0 | That wouldn't make any sense at all. So they did it to you. That's true. But Lavanya is not that's what I mean. It's different from James. |
4:46.0 | James is very common. Lavanya is not a very common name. So if you're going to say name it him after me, you're going to go the full nine with it, I think. Right. You're not going to just pull back on the middle name. |
4:56.0 | I recall is seeing Lavanya isn't James in the Bible, but is Lavanya in the Bible? Possibly. I know I know so little about the Bible. We could do a show on snooker. And I would know more about snooker than I do about the Bible. |
5:11.0 | Honestly, so I know very little Quincy Carter here. He's been learned October 13th, 1977. It's kind of younger than I thought in my mind too for some reason. I thought of him. |
