So you grew up in Texas?

I did. I grew up in East Alice. What was that like? East

Dallas at the time was poverty, gangs, violence, drugs.

I'm the son of a preacher man.

My dad was an elder in a kind of a minister type

in a non-denominational church called Redeemer's Fellowship.

And I think that church was there to reach out to that community.

It needed it.

And at the same time, my mom was really highly lauded tennis player in high school in college.

So when I was growing up, she was a tennis pro.

And so I spent a lot of time on the tennis courts,

a lot of time at church, and a fair amount of time

running around that crazy neighborhood.

Because that's kind of some different worlds there probably.
