We're going to do another Encyclopedia Brown mystery here on 280 mysteries.

We'll never get back.

I believe we're maybe this is the 13th or 14th, one of these.

We're working our way through the extensive catalog of the boy Gies.

Once we hit 280, will we go to Nancy Drew or how is this going to work?

Yeah, I think we have to, you know, work through the bobsy twins, Oove.

And then, I mean, there must be some sort of modern version of this.

Some kid who solves mysteries in the smartphone era for kids.

I mean,

right, of course.

Kids cannot still be reading these.

No.

If kids don't know who Nick Nolte is,

they're not reading Encyclopedia Brown mysteries about, you know,

people saying gosh all willickers and stuff.

But this one is, this one is another, like we were saying, it's a bygone era in a lot of

these books.

This is from the second Encyclopedia Brown book, The Case of the Secret Pitch.

And some of these books, you know, have, our mysteries have things that just seem different because they were from 1968 or whatever.

And a lot of these mysteries involve, you know, drifters coming through town and stuff like that, which I guess is just something that happened in small town a lot more often and felt a lot more normal than it would now.
