When I was trying to decide what topic to talk about this week, I couldn't believe that I haven't

yet talked about travel. People who know me well are sometimes surprised that I travel as much as I do.

For all of 2013, my husband Jim and I traveled and lived around the world. We rented out our house,

sold the car, quit our jobs, and ran a small online business on the

road.

We've always traveled cheaply.

However, as I get older, I definitely have less tolerance for bare bones travel.

I used to love hostels and the excitement of backpacking and the bragging rights, of

being sort of hardcore, but I'm totally over that now.

Anyway, since little things tend to bother me more than the average person as an HSP,

you'd think independent travel would be more difficult than it is for non-sensitive people.
