And The Boy was released in 2016. It has six out of 10 and IMDB and 30% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I don't understand these huge disparities between IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. Last couple of

weeks we've had that. Don't get it. Do you want to synapses? Yeah, go for it. The Boy is a

frightening thrill ride directed by William Brent Bell who also directed The Devil Inside

interestingly, starring Lauren Cohen from The Walk in Dead. Greta is a young American woman who

takes a job as a nanny in a remote English village. Only to discover that the family's age

role is actually a life-sized doll that the parents care for just like a real boy as a way to cope

with the death of their actual son 20 years prior. After violating a list of strict rules,

a series of disturbing and inexplicable events bring Greta's worst nightmare to life,

leading her to believe that the doll is actually alive. I'm going to start this one off by apologising

to you for making you watch this. Thanks. I think that's probably right because it was awful.
