If I'd had the word queer and poly at age 10, it would have saved, it would have meant the entire

difference of my life. But I've been, I know I was different from a very early age and if I'd been gay,

I'd say like many people who are gay who say, oh, I always knew. I always knew that I was not

like other kids. I wasn't told it's older than I came to understand that it was surrounding my

sexual, what I understand to be now, orientation. But at the time, I just felt like an alien. I

always felt like my father said I marched home from fourth grade and now that I was an odd ball.

Why do you waste your time? Podcast listeners, greetings from Vancouver,

with Cassie and I had a beautiful drive up the coast from LA, followed the sunny warm days who

right up the coast and right into Vancouver and now we're unpacking and getting our shit together

here for a summer. I've cut the podcast back to once every other week just because I really got

to get focused on civilized to death, which has been gestating in my belly for over a year now.

Time to birth this thing and so I'm going to rely on some of the podcasts that I've

banked in LA in those last few frenzied weeks and I won't be recording as much over the summer.

But I'm sure I will. I've already been running into really interesting people along the way that

I thought, man, I got to get back and record a podcast with him or her because they're just so

interesting and for some strange willingness, for some strange reason, willing to talk about their

very private, very personal lives on the microphone. So what the hell, let's get that stuff down. But

in the meantime, I'll only be uploading them every other week. So that's what's going on.

Now this week's episode is with Nina Hartley, who is a legend as probably all of you know.

Strange, I've watched a fair bit of porn in my time, but I don't think I've seen a Nina Hartley

movie. I don't know what I was doing. I must have been traveling or something when she hit it big.

Because I sort of missed that, that era in porn. But yeah, she's huge. She's, I guess, 70s, 80s,
