Everything. Putting on a great show is the most important thing you can do. One great rock show can change the world.

Welcome to Sound Opinions. I'm Jim De Regattis, the pop music critic at the Chicago Sun-times.

And I'm Greg Cott. I write about Rock and Roll for the Chicago Tribune.

Tonight, on the world's only rock and roll talk show, one of our fun shows, Jim, one of the ones I look most forward to.

We live for this one.

Yes, we get out the shovel, we start digging. We look for this one. Yes, we got out the shovel, we start digging,

we look for those buried treasures.

Those records that we feel have been unjustly overlooked.

Some people would say we're shoveling it every week,

and they'd be right. we live for this show we

love to turn our listeners on to music that they may not have heard and we are also

man enough to admit that with some 35,000 official label CDs CDs, albums released every year.

That's not counting the My Space Universe, all the stuff that's DIY on the net.

It's impossible to listen to everything.

There's no way.

So we're taking calls from our listeners who are going to hopefully turn us on to some good music that we've missed

because nobody can hear everything. Although sound opinions we try.

First as always though we have some music news.

Because I got friends in all the places where the whiskey drown and the beer chases my blues

away.
