| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Deep Reevee podcast with Matthew Stephen Brown, where we take your real questions about faith, the Bible, and culture, and give you honest, practical advice you can trust. |
| 0:11.4 | We're glad you're here. Now, let's get into today's episode. |
| 0:16.4 | Hey, Deep Brief listeners. Today is a really fun episode. We're going to talk about the power and mysticism of the Holy Spirit. |
| 0:24.9 | Should Christians manifest and can our loved ones, he is from heaven? |
| 0:28.8 | So you ready to get into those? |
| 0:30.3 | I am. |
| 0:30.7 | Okay. |
| 0:31.0 | The first one comes from Colin in Kenya and Lake, California. |
| 0:34.2 | It says, with regard to the mystical nature of the Holy Spirit, we were wondering in our |
| 0:38.5 | community group if the spirit moves in people or for people prior to their being a profession |
| 0:43.5 | of faith. We were wondering if the Holy Spirit works in the lives of non-Christians or only once |
| 0:48.6 | they become Christians. Such a good question. Yeah, so Colin, just so you know, this is on my |

And so sometimes it can get a little confusing about specifically when is it the unique person of the Holy Spirit and when is it the Spirit of God or when is it the Spirit of Jesus. So this is a great, great question. And I can know, all of the mystical nature of the Holy Spirit. |
| 1:32.0 | So I'm going to just focus on your question. You were wondering on our community group, A, |
| 1:36.0 | thank you for being a community group. It's so important that you're in spiritual community because this is the best place to kind of ask your questions and exercise your faith. |
| 1:41.1 | So you said, in community group, if the spirit moves in people, |
| 1:45.5 | or for people prior to their being a profession of faith. So Colin, you've actually stumbled |
| 1:50.9 | upon a really huge theological question within denominations. And so since about really the birth |
| 2:00.0 | of Protestantism, Protestants, there we go. This has been one of the |
| 2:05.5 | questions because when the Catholic priests moved out and protested the Catholic Church, this is one of |
| 2:12.2 | the huge questions of the Protestant movement. What is the role of the Holy Spirit in the lives of people before they |
| 2:19.9 | get saved? And just so you know, this has not been settled. So I don't want you to feel like my answer |
