camps that are spreading across US campuses. We'll discuss the collapse of the

So for the past week or so,

it started on Wednesday, Columbia University in New York was taken over by a Gaza solidarity

camp.

These types of occupation protests or camps have started taking over other U.S. universities.

There's been some quite severe police crackdowns on them, but also notably

these haven't just been normal protests, Tom have they? There's been a lot of

anti-Semitic intimidation, some very questionable chanting. What have you made at this?

Well, I've been quite struck by the desperation to present this is just like any other form of student protest.

The line that seems to be trotted out by a lot of the

apologist for what's going on on many American University campuses is this is what

students have always done. They've always been involved in radical causes.

They've always done occupations. they've always done protests.
