Hi there. Thanks so much for having me. I'm looking forward to this conversation. Amy is a real

business owner, small business owner. What I mean by real is that she she's going to share with us a lot of

her experiences with starting a small business, a one-person operation and how she's gone about

from launching to growing that business to where she's at today.

So we're going to chat about Amy's entrepreneurial journey.

Amy Van Meal, she's an entrepreneur and the founder of Dutch Touch Interiors,

which is a successful interior design business.

She's also a podcaster, and her show is called Dare to Begin Small and Mighty.

Amy started her interior design business at virtually the same time that the oil market collapsed in her city of Calgary, Alberta.

And despite that timing, and this is a big issue because everybody always asks, what is a good time to start a business?

But despite that, Amy knew in her heart that it was the right move to make.

And so now nearly five years later,

her interior design business is not only growing strong and even though her local market is still

in a depressed state relative to the issues with the oil industry. Now Amy is taking all that
